About me
Connect with me on InstagramAs a child, I had dreamt of standing in front of a huge easel, painting, creating with such joy! My life has meandered through many paths, and it wasn’t until midlife that I stepped into the courage to embrace and nurture this dream.
As a self-taught artist, I'm always exploring, experimenting, failing, retrying and discovering. But most of all, I'm just being. Creating is the means by which I channel and transform emotion, anxiety and a whirlwind of thoughts. For me, it is a beautiful meditative process based in mindfulness. It is genuinely cathartic - or kathartique!
There is increasing evidence in the field of neuroscience that art can enhance brain function by impacting brain wave patterns, emotions and the nervous system. I believe in the power that creating and experiencing art has to bring about a state of wellbeing.
For me, creating is a place for calm, for quietening and for peace. It is this place of wellbeing that I aspire to share through my artwork.

About my practice
My artistic practice is grounded in the belief that creating is both an act of healing and a mirror. It is an invitation to witness our inner worlds with gentleness, with acceptance and with curiosity.
Through my work, I explore connections between our internal worlds and the rhythms and structures found in nature: erosion, strata, shifting landscapes and aerial perspectives.
Working intuitively with acrylic, inks, and collage, I build layered surfaces that hold contrast, depth, and quiet movement. Each layer becomes a record of presence: a moment of stillness, a release, or a subtle shift in energy.
Ultimately, my work invites pause: a moment to breathe and reconnect within the layers.
Thank you for stopping by. I truly hope that my work can bring as much joy and calm for you as it does for me.
